BET Preps 'Saving Our Selves: A BET COVID-19 Relief Effort' Featuring Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, & More

BET announced that they'll be airing Saving Our Selves: A BET COVID-19 Relief Effort, a special to support people of color most impacted by COVID-19.

The special, which airs on April 22, will be hosted by Kelly Rowland, Terrence J, and Regina Hall. There will be virtual appearances and performances by DJ Khaled, Charlie Wilson, Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, Fantasia, Melvin Crispell III, and more.

“Every day, there are new reports of how this pandemic is killing African Americans at much higher rates than other communities,” said Scott Mills, BET president. “BET is using all of our resources – our capital, our media platforms, our relationships with the creative community, sponsors, businesses and charitable organizations to support our community in this time of crisis.”

Proceeds from the benefit will be donated to African American communities severely impacted by COVID-19.

Saving Our Selves: A BET COVID-19 Relief Effort will air on Wednesday, April 22 at 8pm ET on BET.
