Blondie Extend 'Against The Odds' Tour with U.S. Leg

With a string of shows already taking place this spring in the U.K., Blondie have announced an extension of their Against The Odds tour with a U.S. leg.

In the U.S., the legendary 80s band will be joined by British punks The Damned for a run of shows in August. The trek will take them to Boston, New York City, Nashville, Chicago, and more.

Prior to the run, both bands will appear at the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena, California in May. Other acts performing there include Devo, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Psychedelic Furs, and Violent Femmes.

Presale tickets for the August shows are now available on Ticketmaster. Tickets will go on sale to the general public tomorrow, March 4.

Back in 2014, Blondie drummer Clem Burke suggested that the band's touring days could be ending soon. “As for the rumors of the last tour, we’ve decided we’ll live forever," he told Uncut at the time. "But Debbie [Harry], is older than me and has hinted it could be time. Obviously, without her, there is no Blondie.”

Since that year, the group has embarked on several tours, including a co-headlining run with Elvis Costello in 2019. In other Blondie news, the band will release a limited edition EP of Sunday Girl for Record Store Day 2022.
