Dropkick Murphys to Perform Live Stream Show on Fenway Park's Diamond
Dropkick Murphys will perform in the infield of the Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park on May 29, making them the first act to play the actual diamond at the iconic stadium.
Dubbed Streaming Outta Fenway, the audience-less concert will be livestreamed for free on the band's social media. The full band will perform, with members socially distanced between bases. Bruce Springsteen will also make a remote appearance.
Presented by Boston-area tech company Pega, the show will be the first music performance without an in-person audience at a major U.S. arena or stadium. Streaming Outta Fenway will benefit three non-profits: Boston Resiliency Fund, Feeding America, and Habitat for Humanity, Greater Boston. In order to raise funds, there will be a text-to-donate campaign during the event.
Dropkick Murphys will perform on Friday, May 29 at 6pm ET, and the event will be streaming live on the band’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch.
