Evanescence’s Amy Lee Joins Korn Onstage to Perform 'Freak On A Leash' at LA Show

Korn recently had the opportunity to headline a show at the huge BMO Stadium in Los Angeles (October 5). It was the group's 30th anniversary special. With support from Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway, Spiritbox, and Vended, the band performed a 20-song setlist to over 20,000 fans. And the grand finale was epic: the band brought out Amy Lee to help perform "Freak On A Leash."

In fan-recorded video, you can hear lead singer Jonathan Davis belt the heavy metal tune while Lee releases some harmonies to accompany him. Once they've finished, fireworks pop over the crowd, by which point Davis takes the time to thank the audience for showing up.

"Freak On A Leash" was released in 1998 as part of Korn's Follow the Leader album. Amy Lee has duetted the song with the band a few times now. Her guest appearances include a 2007 performance with the group for MTV Unplugged, and during one of Korn's Denver shows in 2022.

Korn’s North American tour finishes up this month. You can find remaining dates and tickets here. Evanescence will also be on the road with Halestorm in Canada. After that, Amy revealed recently that they plan to head into the studio to begin work on the follow-up to 2021 album The Bitter Truth.

“We’re not deep in the throes of it yet,” she said in a release. “We’ve been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we’re gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round – round one.”
