Faye Webster Shares New Song & Video 'After the First Kiss'

It’s been seven months since Faye Webster’s album Underdressed at the Symphony was released. The indie artist is now back with a brand new single and music video called "After the First Kiss."

“After the First Kiss” sees Webster deliver an easy-flowing melody with lyrics detailing the phase of awe and discovery at the onset of a new sapphic love affair. The track was produced by both Webster and Drew Vandenberg.

The music video for the song was directed by Kyle Ng of Brain Dead Studios. In it, dozens of people dressed as knights, centaurs, and ogres participate in medieval LARPing while Webster, her face painted like a goblin, plays guitar in the center of the field.

Underdressed at the Symphony came out back in March. It features the Lil Yachty collaboration “Lego Ring” as well as the singles “But Not Kiss,” “Lifetime,” and “Feeling Good Today.” Before that, she released her full-length I Know I’m Funny Haha, which dropped in 2021.

In other Faye Webster news, the singer-songwriter has a few remaining dates on her ongoing tour in support of Underdressed at the Symphony, including dates in Utah and Colorado later this week and a show in San Diego this November. She also recently hosted the inaugural Faye Webster Yo-Yo Invitational, a one-day extravaganza featuring 12 of North America’s top yo-yo pros.
