Featured Spotlight Station: Craigs Jukebox (Oldies Radio)
Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Craigs Jukebox (Oldies Radio)! We spoke with Craig about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
After painstaking searches for the right oldies station and never finding one, I found a home with Live365, and started my own!
What's your studio like?
We just have a small office with low budget software. We're currently using Pinnacle Studio 17 and higher for editing.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Listeners can expect oldies from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. With daily highlights from 4 to 5pm, each day has it's own theme. For example, Monday Motown, Tuesday Classics, Wednesday 50s, Thursday Disco, Friday 60s, Saturday 70s, etc. Also, we have set events for holidays and weekends.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
Setting events such as Christmas and New Year's specials has been the best part.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
Madison Square Garden: Jay & The Americans / Four Tops / The Four Seasons
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?
Hands down, Frankie Valli.
We asked for some of the station's favorite songs. Here's what they had to say!
I have way more favorites than just 10, but here goes some:
- Tracy - The Cuff Links
- Grazing in the Grass - The Friends of Distinction
- This Diamond Ring - Gary Lewis
- Kind of a Drag - The Buckinghams
- Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Frankie Valli
- Lightnin' Strikes - Lou Christie
- 1-2-3 - Len Barry
