More participating artists will be announced at a later date. FireAid is set for Thursday, January 30, at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. FireAid will stream on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. It will also be broadcast in select AMC theaters.
The benefit concert is being produced by Irving Azoff and his family, in conjunction with Live Nation and AEG Presents. Tickets for the event go on sale Wednesday, January 22 at 12:00PM PST. You can learn more information on the FireAid website.
Since the wildfires broke out across Los Angeles last week, the music industry has come together to help those impacted. The Recording Academy and MusiCares jointly pledged $1 million to help those displaced, while Beyoncé, through her organization Beygood, donated $2.5 million to help families in the Altadena/Pasadena area. Additionally, Speedy Ortiz and Sad13’s Sadie Dupuis posted a link to a spreadsheet of “music industry folks who have lost their homes to the fires.” The spreadsheet includes GoFundMe pages and other requests from music industry people who need help.
