FKA twigs Officially Announces Next Album 'Eusexua' & Shares New Video

After months of teasing, FKA twigs has formally announced her next studio album: Eusexua. A release date has been set for January 24, 2025, and a music video for the title track is out now.

Eusexua is FKA twigs’ first album in half a decade—her formal follow-up to the 2019 LP Magdalene and the mixtape Caprisongs (which included the Weeknd collaboration “Tears in the Club”). On September 13, twigs took to X to talk about the meaning behind her next LP.

"EUSEXUA has been my practice for the years that it has been in creation," she wrote. "it is my opus and truly feels like a pin at the centre of the core of my artist. EUSEXUA was birthed in chicken scratch, written on the back of my hand in a toilet at a rave in prague, ‘this room of fools WE MAKE SOMETHING TOGETHER’ and we do. we rave, we sweat, we kiss, we make love to the booming thud of culture. EUSEXUA is a practice. EUSEXUA is a state of being. EUSEXUA is the pinnacle of human experience."

FKA twigs co-produced the "Eusexua" music video with Koreless and Eartheater. Eartheater also sings backing vocals on the track. The eerie visual starts with an opening skit where twigs plays a distressed office worker, and transitions into a dance break within the office before turning into an atmospheric whirlwind of movement. It ends with the lines twigs posted on X: "Eusexua is a practice. Eusexua is a state of being. Eusexua is the pinnacle of human experience."

In the two years since twigs released Caprisongs, she was cast in the Nicolas Cage movie The Carpenter’s Son and the ill-fated remake of The Crow. She also performed "Eusexua" during Valentino's Paris Fashion Week show, debuted a one-off dance piece and testified to Congress about artificial intelligence.
