Foreigner Announce 10-Show Las Vegas Residency in 2020

Foreigner are set to play 10 shows at Las Vegas’ Venetian Resort in 2020. Their shows, which are taking place at the Venetian Theater, will be split with five occurring between Jan. 24 and Feb. 1, and another five scheduled from April 17 to April 25.

Now, the band has to create a set list that captures all of their most popular hits. “If you take a look at Foreigner’s catalog, there are 16 Top 30 hits, and [in planning a show like this] the problem becomes what songs do you leave out,” frontman Kelly Hansen told Billboard. “Do you do some songs acoustically or do you give them all the classic presentation? These are all discussions that we have in creating a set list, but you’re definitely going to hear all of the big ones for sure.”

If the residency ends up being a success, Hansen believes Foreigner might become a more permanent part of Las Vegas’ entertainment landscape. "I don't mind hanging out in the same place," Hansen says, "and not having to get on a bus or a jet after a show every night."

Foreigner is comprised of founding guitarist Mick Jones, singer Kelly Hansen, keyboardist Michael Bluestein, drummer Chris Frazier, multi-instrumentalist Thom Gimbel, bassist Jeff Pilson, and guitarist Bruce Watson.
