Hear Barack Obama on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘One Last Time (44 Remix)’

For the last installment of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamildrop series, he's going out with a bang with a remake of Hamilton‘s “One Last Time” that features former president Barack Obama and actor Christopher Jackson with production from BeBe Winans and Alex Lacamoire.

The remake is entitled “44 Remix” in honor of the 44th president. In the song, Obama reads a passage from George Washington’s farewell address, which is also featured in the musical.

Miranda began the Hamildrops series, which features new Hamilton-related content, in December 2017, and throughout 2018 he has released new material each month.

As the last installment, it is fitting that Obama is featured as Miranda was inspired to write Hamilton: An American Musical after performing “Alexander Hamilton” at the White House during Obama’s term in 2009. Miranda also performed “One Last Time” at Obama's farewell celebration in 2017.
