Jorja Smith Announces New Album 'Falling or Flying'

Finally, R&B songstress Jorja Smith has announced her sophomore album! It’s called Falling or Flying and is set to drop September 29.

The announcement follows her recent songs “Little Things” and “Try Me.” Album artwork has also been released. It shows a black and white portrait of Smith wearing a long dress, taken by Liz Johnson Artur.

According to a press release, the new album “thrillingly broaches any gap between jazz, soul, R&B and funky house,” with the theme of relationships: “breakups, relationships with my friends, relationships with old friends, relationships with myself.”

In 2021, Smith shared her Be Right Back EP, following her critically-acclaimed 2018 debut, Lost & Found. She’ll celebrate the new album’s release with a series of shows in the UK this fall. Find more info on her website.
