Lamb of God Announce Non-Alcoholic Beer 'Ghost Walker'
Lamb of God have teamed up with Scottish craft brewer BrewDog to create Ghost Walker, the world’s first non-alcoholic collaboration beer.
The beer, which is named after the Lamb of God song “Ghost Walking” that details frontman Randy Blythe's journey to sobriety, was supposed to debut at the beginning of the band's spring European tour. However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the band has decided to make Ghost Walker available online.
The beer has a “hop-forward flavor” in which “tropical aromas harmonize with grassy, pine notes, all sitting on a solid malt baseline.” Ghost Walker contains less than 0.5% alcohol, qualifying it as non-alcoholic.
Blythe said in a statement, “The idea of a collaboration hatched when [guitarist] Willie Adler and I visited a BrewDog bar in Columbus on a tour day off to sample a few pints of their non-alcoholic beer with the brewery team."
He continued, "It was conceived, designed and first tasted while on tour – music drove it into existence. Right now is a strange time for everyone, but we’re stoked to provide a non-alcoholic option for those who want to have a brew while cranking some tunes safely at home.”
Ghost Walker is available for purchase here. The band plans to make the beer available for purchase at their shows when they get back on the road.
