Listen to Elton John's New Song '(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again' From 'Rocketman'
Elton John and Rocketman star Taron Egerton have released a new song from the film's soundtrack entitled “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again.” The track appears in the closing credits of the upcoming John biopic.
Co-produced by Giles Martin and Greg Kurstin, the track was written by John and longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin specifically for the film.
The duet is both uplifting and groovy, and highlights the similarity between the singers' voices. John sings the first verse with Egerton on the second, and they come together for the choruses. The new song is the only moment on the soundtrack where John's vocals are heard. Egerton and the film's cast are featured on all of the other tracks.
Egerton portrays John in the upcoming film Rocketman, which hits theaters May 31. Rocketman: Music From the Motion Picture will be released May 24, and it features Giles Martin’s re-imagined versions of John songs, including hits like “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting,” “I Want Love,” “Crocodile Rock,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Your Song.”
