Miranda Lambert Announces Upcoming Solo Album & Shares Visual for New Song 'Strange'
Country star Miranda Lambert will soon have 10 studio albums to her name. Lambert has just announced Palomino: the follow-up to her 2019 record Wildcard and 2021 collaborative album The Marfa Tapes.
Co-produced by Luke Dick and Jon Randall, the record will include a mix of covers, re-recorded songs, featured artists, and new original tracks. Palomino is out April 29 via Vanner Records and RCA Records Nashville.
The 15-track album will feature “If I Was A Cowboy,” a single that Lambert released last year, and new versions of The Marfa Tapes standouts “In His Arms,” “Geraldene,” and “Waxahachie.” Also included will be a cover of Mick Jagger’s “Wandering Spirit” as well as an appearance from The B-52s on the song "Music City Queen."
Lambert has released the first original single from the album, titled "Strange." The country rock jam comes with a new visual featuring Lambert wandering around a desert landscape.
Palomino is Lambert’s first solo effort since Wildcard, which won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. The Marfa Tapes - her collaboration with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall - is currently nominated for Best Country Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards. In December, Lambert released “Y’all Means All,” a song for the sixth season of Netflix’s Queer Eye, which was filmed in her home state of Texas.
