Mötley Crüe Play Secret Show in New York City
Mötley Crüe played a secret – or mostly secret – club show at Bowery Ballroom in New York City on Monday night (May 6th). The legendary metal band teased the concert on social media under the moniker “1981” (the year they formed), and were met with a sold-out show.
The 12-song set was mostly filled with the band's most popular tracks, including “Looks That Kill,” “Shout at the Devil,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and “Kickstart My Heart.” As for other music, the band played its new single, “Dogs of War,” as well as a covers medley featuring songs by The Beatles, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Beastie Boys, and more.
Tickets to the club show sold out in five minutes when they went on sale last week, as fans quickly caught on "1981" was actually Mötley Crüe. The New York City gig followed a pair of shows in Atlantic City. The band's next shows will be a mix of headlining, festival, and state fair dates scheduled through mid October. You can find ticket information here.
