Nipsey Hussle Biography 'The Marathon Don't Stop' In the Works
A Nipsey Hussle biography is set to arrive one year after the late rapper was fatally shot in Los Angeles this past March. According to Complex, the book, which is entitled The Marathon Don’t Stop: The Life and Times of Nipsey Hussle, will be written by music journalist Rob Kenner.
Arriving March 24, 2020 via Atria Books, the book will include commentary from Nipsey himself and interviews with his friends and family. Kenner mentioned that the biography "will also place his accomplishments in proper historical context, giving Nipsey Hussle his rightful place in the history of hip-hop, Los Angeles, and America. It will include interviews with people who haven’t spoken before, as well as insights into the forces that shaped Hussle into the man he became."
Although the biography is not authorized by Nipsey Hussle's family, a portion of the proceeds from the book will be donated to Nipsey's estate out of respect.
Kenner said about Nipsey Hussle, "He was one of the most fascinating artists of our time, as well as an important activist and thought leader, but he received relatively little acclaim during his lifetime," he continued. "I wanted to do my part to help set the record straight."
