Peter Gabriel Adds New U.S. Tour Dates, Preps for Upcoming Album

"Sledgehammer" singer Peter Gabriel has added new U.S. dates to his i/o Tour, with new stops in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Denver, and more.

Following the European leg of his tour, which kicks off in May, Gabriel will cross the Atlantic Ocean and play in Quebec on September 8. Gabriel will continue touring North America through October 21, where the tour will wrap in Houston. Tickets for all dates of Gabriel's tour can be found here. The general ticket sale starts on Friday, March 24 at 10am local time.

Gabriel has been sharing a handful of new songs lately – namely the singles “Panopticom,” “The Court,” and “Playing for Time.” This could be because the former Genesis member is expected to complete a new album, also called i/o, that he has reportedly been working on for the better part of two decades.

According to a press release, Gabriel is releasing tracks from the forthcoming LP on the full moon of each month. This means a new song will likely be released on or around April 6. Gabriel's last studio album was New Blood, which was dropped back in 2011.
