Rush Release Tour Highlight Film 'Cinema Strangiato' Trailer

In August, there will be worldwide, one-night-only screenings of the new Rush tour highlight film entitled Cinema Strangiato. Ahead of the screenings, an official trailer for the film has been released.

Nodding to Rush's 1978 instrumental “La Villa Strangiato,” Cinema Strangiato will feature moments from Rush’s 2015 R40 Live tour, including songs such as “Closer to the Heart", "Subdivisions", "Tom Sawyer," and more. Fans can also expect to see unreleased backstage moments, candid footage, soundcheck performances, and exclusive new interviews with Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, Taylor Hawkins, producer Nick Raskulinecz, violinist Jonathan Dinklage, and more. A glimpse into the creation of bassist-singer Geddy Lee's new book, Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass, will also be included.

On Aug. 21, fans around the world can gather to screen Cinema Strangiato. The screening has been named the “First Annual Exercise in Fan Indulgence” as an additional nod to “La Villa Strangiato,” which is subtitled “An Exercise in Self-Indulgence.” The name suggests that other Rush-themed events are likely to occur in the coming years.
