'Selena: The Series' to Debut on Netflix in December

Netflix's Selena: The Series, a coming-of-age drama chronicling Selena Quintanilla's rise to fame, is set to be released on the platform this December.

Christian Serratos will star as the Queen of Tejano music with Ricardo Chavira co-starring as Selena’s father Abraham, Gabriel Chavarria as her brother A.B., Noemi Gonzalez as her sister Suzette, Seidy Lopez as her mother Marcella, and Madison Taylor Baez as Young Selena. The two-part series was created by Moisés Zamora and executive produced by the Quintanilla family.

The official description on Netflix reads, “As Mexican-American Tejano singer Selena comes of age and realizes her dreams, she and her family make tough choices to hold on to love and music.”

Part one of Selena: The Series will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 4, 2020.
