Skrillex Features PinkPantheress & Trippie Redd in New Song 'Way Back'

Dubstep king Skrillex is making a comeback in 2023. After teaming up with Fred Again.. and Flowdan for the song “Rumble” earlier this week, the electronic artist has released another collaborative single. “Way Back” includes guest contributions from rising star PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd.

Both singles arrive just days after Skrillex shared a short video teasing new music. The 42-second clip, which was posted to his official social media accounts on January 1, included the caption “QFF/DGTC 23,” and appeared to contain audio from multiple new songs.

"Way Back" marks the second collaboration between Skrillex and PinkPantheress, after Skrillex helped produce PinkPantheress' April 2022 single “Where you are.” Trippie Redd croons, "Coming from the cracks and the crevices (Crevices) / Lookin' for a way back home (Way back home, ooh)" in the song's chorus, while PinkPantheress sings about her feelings for a lover.

Skrillex’s last full-length solo album, Recess, was released in 2014. Nowadays, the dubstep artist is known for his music production on other artists' songs. In 2021, he shared a string of collaborative singles, including “En Mi Curato” with Jay Cortez, “In da Getto” with Ja Balvin, “Too Bizarre” with Swae Lee, and “Butterflies” with Four Tet and Starrah.
