Soundgarden Detail New Live Album & Concert Film

The alt-rock band Soundgarden have announced that they will be releasing a live album and concert film focused on their special Live from the Artists Den event in 2013. This is the second large archival project that the band has launched as they started a monthly vinyl reissue series earlier this year.

Live from the Artists Den was the band’s last show on their sold-out winter tour supporting their album King Animal. The set was two-and-a-half-hours of 29 fan favorites, rarities, and hits.

“We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from King Animal, and to celebrate with each other and our fans,” Kim Thayil said in a statement.

The Live from the Artists Den film and live album will be released July 26. They’ll be available on Blu-ray, as a 2xCD or 4xLP bundle, and as a limited-edition Super Deluxe box set that features 30 bonus minutes of interviews with the band. There will be 3 screening dates of the Live from the Artists Den concert film, which will be held in LA, New York, and Soundgarden’s hometown of Seattle. Tickets are currently on sale here.

The screenings in New York and Los Angeles will be immersive, meaning attendees will have a multi-screen viewing experience, hear a live remix of the original multitrack 48-channel audio, and see a stunning light show in addition.

Check out the screening dates below.

6/17 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Wiltern (Immersive)
6/18 – New York, NY @ Brooklyn Steel (Immersive)
6/23 – Seattle, WA @ The Showbox (Screening Only)
