Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Adele, Harry Styles & More Nominated for Song of the Year at 2023 Grammys

2023 Grammy nominations have been announced, and we now know the contenders for one of the biggest prizes of the night: Song of Year. Ten songs are in the running, and artists nominated include Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Adele, and Harry Styles.

Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film)” is nominated, marking the first time one of her re-recorded songs has been in the running. Adele’s single “Easy on Me” is going head-to-head with Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul,” echoing previous years’ matchups. Kendrick Lamar’s comeback single “The Heart Part 5” is also nominated.

Plenty of TikTok hits are on the table this year. Of course, that means Harry Styles’ mega-success “As It Was” is on the list. But it also means newcomers have nominations as well: Gayle’s pop smash “ABCDEFU” has surprisingly been included, and Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” managed to claim a spot.

Also included in the category are Lizzo’s song of the summer “About Damn Time,” Bonnie Raitt’s “Just Like That,” and DJ Khaled’s “God Did” (featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy).

Swift has now been nominated for Song of the Year six times, but she has never won the award. Adele (who’s now been nominated four times) is looking to take home her second trophy, having won Song of the Year in 2012 and 2017 for “Rolling in the Deep” and “Hello,” respectively. Beyoncé, whose “Formation” fell to “Hello” in 2017, is seeking her first Song of the Year victory since 2010 when she won for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

The 2023 Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 5, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
