The Black Keys Share Details of New Album 'No Rain, No Flowers'
The Black Keys - a.k.a. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney - have officially announced the new album No Rain, No Flowers. The duo’s follow-up to 2024’s Ohio Players will be out August 8.
The news comes just after the Black Keys shared tour dates and released the singles “The Night Before” and “Babygirl.” On May 16, the alt rock group dropped the title track of No Rain, No Flowers. It comes with a flowery visual that will please anyone with a green thumb. (You can watch it below.)

The Black Keys produced the eleven tracks on No Rain, No Flowers themselves, and received help from Rick Nowels, Daniel Tashian, and Scott Storch. “I had worked with Rick Nowels on Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence,” Auerbach said in a statement acquired by Pitchfork. “We’d never really collaborated with a keyboard player or someone who writes on piano the way he does, but it clicked immediately.”
Carney added, “We wanted to go straight to the source - into the room with people known for their songwriting. Daniel Tashian was one of the first people I met after moving to Nashville, and we’ve been fans of Scott Storch forever.”
The No Rain, No Flowers tour officially begins on Friday, May 23, in Durant, Oklahoma. The band will stay on the road through September. You can find tickets here, and pre-order vinyl/CD editions of No Rain, No Flowers at the band's official online shop.
