The Flaming Lips Announce Summer Trek
The Flaming Lips are embarking on a summer tour following the release of their upcoming album, King’s Mouth: Music and Songs, which will be released on July 19 via Warner Bros.
The tour begins on July 23 in Wichita, KS and closes on Aug. 7 in Raleigh, NC. Claypool Lennon Delirium and Particle Kidt will serve as the supporting acts.
The Flaming Lips' 15th studio album, King’s Mouth, was initially released as a limited-edition vinyl on Record Store Day. The album is part of a bigger project, which includes an immersive A King’s Mouth art installation and a book entitled King’s Mouth: Immerse Heap Trip Fantasy Experience. A King’s Mouth is currently on exhibit at Rough Trade NYC through May 31.
Tickets for The Flaming Lips' summer tour go onsale to the general public on Friday, April 26 10am local time. Presale begins at 10am local time on Wednesday, April 24. For more ticket information, see The Flaming Lips website.
