Tyler, the Creator Teases New Album & Shares 'St. Chroma' Video

Tyler, the Creator appears to be in his next album era.

The Grammy-winning rapper has shared a new video titled “St. Chroma.” The clip, featuring new music, appears to be a teaser for a project called Chromakopia.

The minute and 25-second clip shows a sepia view of Tyler and other men marching in a line through the desert. Their in-time rhythm gives off military vibes, which becomes more apparent as Tyler breaks out of the line to instruct the group to move forward. They disappear behind a giant intermodal container with the words "Chromakopia" on it. Once everyone is out of sight, we see a closer view of a hand. The hand's thumb presses down (as if clicking a detonation button) and the intermodal container explodes. The video ends with a title card of the word "Chromakopia."

Although it's not yet official Tyler is dropping an LP (and a release date has not been set), attentive fans on Reddit have found pretty solid evidence that suggests Chromakopia is an album rollout. One user pointed to musician Daniel Caesar's Instagram story, which read after the video drop, "Did some vocals on this, very proud. Can't wait for you all to hear the whole record." On Tyler's own Instagram post of the video, he included the caption "1. st chroma," suggesting the music in the clip is the opening track of the record.

Tyler, the Creator released his sixth studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost, in June 2021. The record earned him the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and, in March 2023, he released a deluxe edition that was subtitled The Estate Sale. Before that, he dropped Igor in 2019, which also won him a Grammy for Best Rap Album.
