After releasing a number of successful singles - “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” and “Headphones On” - Addison Rae is finally dropping her first studio album.
Stereogum reports that while making a surprise appearance during Arca’s Coachella set earlier this month, Rae turned around to reveal a message on the back of her underwear: “June 6th.” Thanks to various sources online, we now know June 6th will be the release date of her debut self-titled record, Addison.

The album will follow the TikToker-turned-pop star's initial EP, AR. Rae has also shared the album cover of the project. It shows a portrait of the artist while she's turned to face the camera, hidden underneath a transparent veil.
"I love the entirety of this project with all of me. A mirror. A deep desperation and desire to understand myself better. A true collection of my proudest work yet. My dream cover. My dream collaborators," Rae said about the project on Instagram.
According to Stereogum, Rae worked on the 12-track LP with Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd of Max Martin’s publishing company MXM studios. The songwriting-production duo said Madonna’s 1998 album Ray Of Light was a big inspiration, using a 1988 Korg M1 synthesizer across the record to tap into the retro pop-house sound.
The pre-order page calls it “the first & last album by Addison Rae” – so if there’s another album in the future, it will simply be credited to "Addison."
After making a career for herself through social media and acting, Rae officially transitioned into pop music in 2021, releasing her first single called "Obsessed." In 2024, she signed with Columbia Records, and collaborated with Charli XCX on the "Von Dutch" remix. She then received further endorsement from Charli XCX; specifically after having her onstage during her massive 2024 Madison Square Garden show.
