Hello, Nasty was released as Beastie Boys' fifth studio album. It is best known for the tracks "Intergalactic," "Body Movin'", "The Move," and "Three MC's and One DJ." It sold 681,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart, and won Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (for "Intergalactic") at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards.
In other Beastie Boys news: last week, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz’s hardcore punk supergroup DFL also announced the reissue of its debut album, My Crazy Life. In 2022, a Lower East Side street corner was approved to be renamed "Beastie Boys Square" by a New York City council.
