Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Boss Boss Radio! We spoke with John Van Camp about the station's Boss setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and some of the station's biggest Boss hits. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
When Live365 relaunched we were excited to be associated with such a well-known brand. Additionally, having a long relationship with the team that built the new Live365 prior to its launch, it was a no-brainer that we'd bring our brand to the Live365 team to help launch us into the next chapter of our story.
What's your studio like?
We have 14 Boss Jocks all with their own studios. The main studio in Boss Angeles is decked out with an Arrakis System Console, EV RE320s, and Station Playlist suite of products. Many of our talent use RE320s in their local studios.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
A wide variety of Boss Hits from the '60s, '70s, and '80s. Mixed with a full air staff of professional veterans (more than 400 years collective experience) who are trying to recreate the Boss Radio sound that so many of us grew up with.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
My radio career spans 40 years. It's been a blast to meet so many artists and be part of some fantastic local events. But perhaps my favorite time was when I was able to meet (and recruit) some true radio legends to come and host on The Boss.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
Beach Boys in the '80s... It helped that I got to introduce them!

- We Were Always Sweethearts by Boz Scaggs
- Please, Please Me by The Beatles
- Superstar by Carpenters
- Jump by Van Halen
- Respect by Aretha Franklin
