80s icon Cyndi Lauper has one final tour in store. The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour is set for the last few months of the year.
Starting October 18, the tour will take her to 23 arenas across North America through December 5. The name of the tour comes from Lauper's breakout hit – "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" – from her 1983 debut, She’s So Unusual.

Lauper did not release any statement explaining her reasons for deciding to do a farewell tour now, although she is expected to talk about it soon as she begins promoting her new documentary, released today (June 4). Titled Let the Canary Sing, the doc is available now on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada. It’s directed by Alison Ellwood, who also oversaw the 2019 Go-Go’s documentary and a two-part documentary about the Laurel Canyon scene for Epix in 2020.
Tickets go on sale with an artist presale Tuesday, followed by other presales before the general on-sale begins Friday at 10am local time. Opening acts will be announced soon. Find more information on Lauper's website.
