Heart Offering Reward For Two Custom Instruments Stolen Before Atlantic City Show

Legendary rock band Heart is offering a reward for the safe return of two custom instruments stolen before an Atlantic City show. Billboard reports the items were snagged on the eve of the veteran band’s launch of their 2025 "An Evening With Heart" tour.

“Members of the legendary rock band Heart were devastated to discover that two irreplaceable instruments were stolen from the venue, where gear had been set up the day prior to the show,” said a press release on Tuesday (June 3). The gear disappeared just before the tour officially kicked off on Saturday (May 31) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The missing items listed include a “custom-built, one-of-a-kind purple sparkle baritone Telecaster with a hand-painted headstock, crafted specifically for [guitarist] Nancy Wilson,” as well as a “vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin” that band member Paul Moak has played for over 25 years.

In a statement Nancy Wilson said, “These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they’re extensions of our musical souls. The baritone Tele was made uniquely for me, and Paul’s mandolin has been with him for decades. We’re heartbroken, and we’re asking for their safe return—no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable.”

An unspecified reward is being offered for any information leading to the return of the instruments, with anyone with knowledge of the thefts or the location of the gear encouraged to contact the band’s tour manager, Tony Moon.

Last year brought a different set of tour challenges for Heart, as several dates had to be rescheduled due to Ann Wilson's cancer treatments. The next scheduled date on Heart’s current tour is on Wednesday night (June 4) at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. You can find tickets here.
