Japanese Breakfast (real name: Michelle Zauner) has shared the latest single from her forthcoming album For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women). It's called "Mega Circuit" and arrives with a new music video.
The moody track mentions ATVs and shooting blanks, so naturally, both of those things can be found in the visual. It shows Zauner and some friends riding their vehicles, shooting, and ziplining in the middle of the woods. Adam Kolodny, a frequent collaborator of Japanese Breakfast, helped produce the music video.

For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women) is out March 21. It marks Japanese Breakfast’s follow-up to the 2021 LP Jubilee. The new record includes lead single “Orlando in Love,” which arrived with a romantic visual back in January. Zauner, joined by a small orchestra, performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month.
Despite the album not being available to the public yet, Japanese Breakfast has announced she will start touring behind For Melancholy Brunettes in April. She will play two sets at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival before traveling to various locations across North America and Europe. You can find information about dates and tickets here.
In other Japanese Breakfast news, the artist was planning to create a film based on her memoir Crying in H Mart. However, the production has been put on pause for the foreseeable future due to the director stepping away and the impact of the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
