Kendrick Lamar celebrated Independence Day this year in a very special way: by finally sharing a music video for his chart-topping Drake diss track, "Not Like Us."
Directed by Lamar and his pgLang co-founder, Dave Free, the almost-six-minute-long video opens with Lamar rapping a snippet of a new track that includes the line “Keep a horn on me, that Kamasi.” The snippet plays up until the twenty second mark in the video.

Once the video gets into "Not Like Us," there are cameos from notable California figures – including Tommy the Clown, Compton native and former Toronto Raptors All-Star DeMar DeRozan, producer Mustard (pointedly wearing a Toronto Blue Jays cap), and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.
Also included are shots of people sitting with Lamar in a minimalist waiting room, an owl piñata being bashed, Lamar doing some hopscotch, and a very large crowd chanting the chorus alongside Lamar's vocals. Additionally, Lamar dances with his partner, Whitney Alford, and two children. (Drake had questioned Lamar’s family dynamics on diss tracks like “Family Matters.”)
"Not Like Us" was the fourth diss song Lamar released about Drake during their infamous feud that took place throughout April and May. Upon its debut, "Not Like Us" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The chart win secured Lamar’s fourth #1 on the Hot 100 – his first solo entry since 2017’s “HUMBLE.” Along with “Not Like Us” topping the charts, “Euphoria” saw a considerable gain too, climbing eight spots and peaking at #3 during its second week on the all-genre tally.
The new “Not Like Us” video also follows Lamar’s surprise concert that took place on Juneteenth in Inglewood, California.
