Kendrick Lamar has joined Beyoncé on a new remix of her Renaissance track “America Has a Problem.” The drop comes amidst Queen Bey’s massive world tour in support of the LP.
It’s not the first time the Compton rapper and Houston singer have collaborated. He’s previously appeared alongside Beyoncé on Lemonade’s “Freedom” and The Lion King: The Gift’s “Nile.” On the new version of “America Has a Problem,” Lamar starts the song off with a rap that lasts exactly one minute. It touches on AI (“Even AI gotta practice clonin’ Kendrick”) and the Beyhive. The updated album art is an image of the American flag – but zoom in and you’ll see the flag is made up of red, white, and blue bullets.
Beyoncé began her world tour run in Sweden on May 10, and will be picking up in the United States at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field in July. In addition to props like a flying disco horse and a metallic tank, the tour has a massive crew to match its staggering scale, including dancers, audio technicians, and automation specialists.
In other Kendrick Lamar news, the rapper recently won Best Rap Album for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers at the 2023 Grammys.
