Mac DeMarco has casually announced his first new album in two years.
According to sources like Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan, the Canadian artist recently sent out a press statement in which he talked about the upcoming LP. "I have an album coming in August, see you at the shows," he wrote.

Of course, those shows DeMarco is referring to are concerts across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and his native Canada. The first show is slated to take place on Friday, August 29, at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Other big cities DeMarco will be playing at include Philadelphia, New York (Radio City Music Hall), Boston, Seattle, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, London, Dublin and Toronto. Opening acts have not yet been announced.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, April 11 at 10 AM. You can find more information on the artist's official website (only a few dates are listed so far), and on Ticketmaster.
Besides the release date, other details about DeMarco's upcoming album are sparse. DeMarco released his latest projects - the instrumental record Five Easy Hot Dogs and the massive compilation One Wayne G - in 2023. He’s more recently shared collaborative songs with Eyedress, Alan Palomo, and Ryan Paris.
