Following the release of the Wild God title song in March, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are sharing another single from their upcoming album.
Titled "Frogs," it was one of the first songs Nick Cave wrote for the new LP. It's a dreamy slow jam that includes allusions to the biblical story of Cain and Abel. The song was written by Cave and band member Warren Ellis.

Cave, in a press statement, only had this to say about his new song: “The sheer exuberance of a song like ‘Frogs.’ It just puts a big f---ing smile on my face.”
On Nick Cave's website, the artist also released a statement about Wild God as a whole. "I hope the album has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me. It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it," he said. "It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy. Wild God…there’s no f---ing around with this record. When it hits, it hits. It lifts you. It moves you. I love that about it."
Wild God is out August 30 and will feature ten new tracks from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. The LP follows the group's 2019 record Ghosteen. You can pre-order and pre-save the record here.
