Former Genesis member Peter Gabriel has announced a tour of Europe, marking his first concerts since his 2016 tour with Sting.
The string of 22 shows kicks off in May 2023, and the setlist will feature music from his upcoming 10th studio album, i/o. Set to be released sometime in 2023, the LP will be Gabriel's first release since 2011's New Blood, and his first of new original material since 2002's Up.
For the tour, Gabriel's regular band of Tony Levin, David Rhodes, and Manu Katché will join him. They will make stops in Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Glasgow, and more, North American dates will follow, along with news on the album, according to Gabriel’s announcement.
“It’s been a while and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road for a spin,” Gabriel said. “Look forward to seeing you out there.”
The former Genesis member’s last dates outside of North America were for the Back to Front Tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his beloved album So. Tickets for Gabriel's European tour will go on sale Friday, November 11 on Live Nation.
