Shaboozey Follows Hit Track 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' with New Single 'Good News'

After setting several records with his hit track "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and receiving six nominations for the 2025 GRAMMY awards, country and hip-hop artist Shaboozey is ready to keep his career momentum going with a new single.

The song is called "Good News," and it's the first new drop since the Virginia-born songwriter released his album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going in May. “Good News” was made with the help of Nevin Sastry and Sean Cook, and tells the story of a downcast Shaboozey looking for hope after an awful year.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has spent 17 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 – the most total weeks at #1 for a solo track in the chart’s history. If it stays put atop the chart, it will soon beat another country song with hip-hop influences: Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road.” That song holds the overall record of 19 weeks.

Shaboozey's six GRAMMY nominations this year include Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song, Best Remixed Recording, and Best Melodic Rap Performance (on the Beyoncé track "SPAGHETTII"). Shaboozey responded to the nominations on social media, saying, "I’m thankful for everyone who ever believed and took a chance on me. For those who looked out for me when I needed it the most. I’m grateful for every couch I slept on, every no I was ever told, every heartbreak, and every tear I shed over achieving my dreams. I’m thankful for everything! I wake up grateful every single day. Never give up on your dreams LLC."

In other Shaboozey news, the up-and-coming musician is currently on a North American tour, and will head to Europe in 2025. You can find tickets for remaining dates here.
