After telling fans overseas to hold on, Taylor Swift has finally announced international dates for the Eras Tour. She'll kick off the leg of the tour in early 2024, and will make stops in Singapore, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Sabrina Carpenter will be the opening act for all shows. Perhaps the most exciting of her international tour dates are the ones happening in Australia. Billboard reports her two shows at the the Melbourne Cricket Ground might be enough to beat Ed Sheeran's previous attendance record – one that he set just this March during his Mathematics Tour. Swift would have to rake in a combined 215,000 ticket sales or more in order to beat the bar her pal has set.
Despite a troubled ticketing rollout thanks to Ticketmaster, Swift began her Eras Tour in Arizona in March. She most recently performed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 17, and she’ll resume the tour this Friday, June 23, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For now, her last U.S. concert will be at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium on Wednesday, August 9. A couple of weeks later, Swift heads to Mexico for the first of her Latin American concerts.
As for other Swift news: on July 7, she will release Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The new album has guest appearances from Fall Out Boy and Paramore’s Hayley Williams.
