Fans of the Weeknd will have to wait a little longer to listen to Hurry Up Tomorrow.
With the devastating Los Angeles wildfires still ongoing, The Weeknd has postponed the release of his forthcoming record and canceled the album release show that was set to take place at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on Sunday, January 19.

“Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County,” The Weeknd wrote on Instagram, “I have decided to push the release of my album to January 31st.”
Hurry Up Tomorrow was originally announced back in September 2024 and was set to drop next Friday, January 24. The project will feature the singles “Dancing in the Flames,” “Timeless,” and “São Paulo.” Later this year, The Weeknd is set to release a movie, also called Hurry Up Tomorrow, in which he will star alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.
The Weeknd's next studio album is the follow-up to his 2022 release Dawn FM. Since that LP, Abel Tesfaye has worked with Swedish House Mafia, FKA twigs, Post Malone, and Rosalía, and been on a posthumous release from Aaliyah. There was also his appearance on the first and only season of The Idol, which was released by HBO in June 2023. As for performances, he recently played a one-night-only concert in São Paulo, Brazil that was livestreamed on YouTube.
