Third Man Records Unveils New Podcast Dedicated to History of The White Stripes

Third Man Records, Jack White’s Nashville record label, has launched a new podcast about The White Stripes in partnership with Misfire. This news comes less than a month after Third Man Records released a live album of The White Stripes’ final concert.

Striped: The Story of the White Stripes is hosted by music journalist Sean Cannon and is solely dedicated to the history of The White Stripes. Presented in 30-minute episodes, the podcast will explore the band's career starting from the early days. Several of The White Stripes’ peers and collaborators, such as members of Pavement, The MC5, The Dirtbombs, and filmmaker Lance Bangs, will all contribute. White’s own The Raconteurs are also set to appear.

"Lately I’ve been afraid of getting in a car crash and having my last dying words be ‘shit, I really should’ve gotten the White Stripes story down for posterity,’” Third Man co-founder and White Stripes archivist Ben Blackwell said in a statement. “This is my attempt to avail myself to somewhat less lame last words.”

Check out the trailer for Striped here. The first two episodes of season one are available to stream on Apple Podcasts now.
