The White Stripes Digitally Release Live Album of Final Concert

12 years ago, the White Stripes played their final show at the Snowden Grove Amphitheater in Southaven, Mississippi. The audio from that show is now available to stream and download for the first time ever via Nugs.net.

Taking place July 31, 2007, the show featured 24 songs total, including “Icky Thump,” “In the Cold, Cold Night,” and “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground.”

The White Stripes’ archivist and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell noted in a post on Nugs.net that most were unaware that the show would be their last, including him. “Meg said to me, ‘I think this is the last White Stripes show.’ Confused, I responded ‘Well, yeah, last show of this leg of the tour.’ She replied ‘No… I think this is the last White Stripes show ever,’ and slowly walked away.”

Check out Blackwell's account of the show and the White Stripes’ hand-written setlist here.
