16th Annual World College Radio Day: Live365 Powers the 24-Hour Global Marathon

On Friday, October 2, 2026, student radio stations around the world are taking over the airwaves for the 16th Annual World College Radio Day (WCRD). As the official streaming partner, Live365 is once again providing the digital stream for WCRD's 24-Hour Global Marathon, connecting student broadcasters across six continents to a worldwide audience.

Organized by the College Radio Foundation, this year’s event centers on the theme “Hope — Always In The Air!” Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Andy Grammer joins as the 2026 Official Ambassador, bringing an exclusive Q&A interview that will broadcast on participating stations during the marathon.

From the Marshall Islands to Your Headphones

The global marathon kicks off in Majuro in the Marshall Islands, home to one of the most remote college radio stations on Earth. From there, participating stations across time zones will take over the stream in 30-minute and 60-minute blocks, broadcasting curated music sets and student commentary.

The schedule also includes a syndicated 1-hour special simulcast airing across stations globally, featuring:

• Europe: UCC 98.3FM (Ireland), Radio Campus France (France), RadUni (Italy), K103 Göteborgs Studentradio (Sweden), Radio Nova (Norway), and UniRadio Jaén (Spain).
• Africa & Asia-Pacific: Tuks FM 104.0 (South Africa), Radio Univers 105.7FM (Ghana), Fresh Student Radio (Australia), The Vox Populi (Fiji), Radio Chitkara (India), and UST Tiger Radio (Philippines).

How to Listen Live

While World College Radio Day is officially celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2026, the 24-Hour Global Marathon technically kicks off on Thursday, October 1 at 8:00 PM ET (00:00 UTC on October 2) as the broadcast goes live across Pacific time zones starting in the Marshall Islands.
