Dr. Dre to Receive Honor at Grammy Week 2020 for Production Work

Dr. Dre will be honored at the Recording Academy’s 13th annual Producers & Engineers Wing during Grammy Week 2020 for his trailblazing production work.

The Grammy-winning producer will receive the honor on Jan. 22 at Village Studios in Los Angeles, four days before the 2020 Grammys. The event "will pay tribute to the artistic achievements and innovations of Dre."

Dr. Dre has won six Grammys, three of which were producer or engineer awards. He has produced hits for Eminem, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and many more.

Deborah Dugan, President/CEO of the Recording Academy described Dr. Dre as “an influential force in music.” “Dre breaks boundaries and inspires music creators across every genre. His evolution as a producer solidifies him as a leader of the pack within our industry, and we watch in amazement as he continues to shape the future of music,” she said in a statement.

In addition to paying tribute to Dr. Dre, the event will celebrate the creativity and achievements of the Producers & Engineers Wing, which has more than 6,400 professional members.
