Warner Bros. has announced that the untitled Elvis Presley biopic will open Oct. 1, 2021.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film will showcase the relationship between veteran manager Col. Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks, and Elvis, who will be played by Austin Butler.
Warner Bros. said that the film will "delve into their complex dynamic spanning over 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and the loss of innocence in America."
