Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You is billed as a prequel to Cain’s 2022 debut album, Preacher’s Daughter, the latter of which arrives on vinyl for the first time April 4. The name “Willoughby Tucker” is familiar to some Ethel Cain fans, as it’s the name of the musician’s high school boyfriend. As fans have noted on Reddit, Cain sang about him and the relationship on the Preacher’s Daughter song “A House in Nebraska.”
Additionally, Cain has announced a North American and European tour in support of the upcoming LP. The trek will take her to New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and many more cities. The Toronto-based band 9Million will open up Cain's shows. You can find information about tickets here. The general sale starts Friday, March 28.
For the upcoming Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour, Cain has announced a partnership with the Ally Coalition in which $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to organizations committed to serving the trans community.
