Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is KRAZY Queue! We spoke with James Yokers about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
I saw it as a nice hobby for a retired broadcast executive such as myself.
What's your studio like?
No studio, per se. I just use the Live365 Dashboard features to totally run my station (ie. ClockWheels and Playlists).
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Listeners can expect a wide variety of music from the past 7 decades. We have a huge blend of genres, including pop, rock, country, jazz, standards, classical, alternative, and R&B.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
I enjoy putting together Top 100 countdowns from various years and presenting them on weekends. I also enjoy doing my weekly classical music show.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
Jethro Tull, in 1972, right after they released Thick As A Brick. They performed the entire piece, and then followed up with Aqualung. It was a very exciting show!
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to?
Genesis
We asked for some of the station's favorite songs. Here's what they had to say!
In no particular order:
- Love Is The Drug - Roxy Music
- Living In The Past - Jethro Tull
- My Life - Billy Joel
- Panic In The World - Be Bop Deluxe
- In The Mood - Glenn Miller
- Harmony - Elton John
