Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Our Neighborhood Radio! We spoke with John Aponte about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
I've always had a love for music, all genres, and a desire to be a radio presenter. Live365 allows me to live my dream.
What's your studio like?
My studio consists of the RadioDJ software, 3 laptops, and a lot of music.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Our neighborhoods are diverse communities, filled with people of all races and cultures. The music we play reflects that diversity. We play it all. All genres, in English and Spanish, old and new.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
My favorite moments are always connecting with artists and listeners, for example, hearing how excited an artist gets when we play their track.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
The best concert I've ever attended happened last year when Building 429 came to our small town in New Port Richey, Florida. I still can't believe they came to such a small venue, but I'm glad they did.
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?
I would have loved to see New Edition back in the 80s, they have always been my favorite group.
