Daft Punk are the latest musical act to join Fortnite. The video game - known for hosting virtual concerts with real-life musicians - will soon bring in 31 songs from the French electronic duo’s catalog for the Daft Punk Experience: an immersive music world that highlights the group’s discography throughout various interactive rooms.
The new game mode launches this Saturday, September 27, at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The Daft Punk Experience, billed as the game’s “biggest musical experience,” will allow players to remix and create mashups of songs, create Lego music videos featuring the band, or make their avatars dance at the Daft Club, which features a supercut of footage from the band’s Alive tour and Alive 2007 live album. A new bundle in the Fortnite Shop will also include Daft Punk’s iconic TB3 and GM08 helmets, outfits, and accessories, plus instruments and a “Get Lucky” Jam Track.

Does this experience mean the robots are getting back together after their breakup in 2021? Eurogamer reports those rumors have been squashed by Fortnite itself.
"The band may be no longer, but their music lives on in Fortnite," reads a new blog post on the experience. To really hammer the point home, the FAQ directly states: "The band is not getting back together." It also says the experience won't feature any new music, as all songs have been previously released.
Over the years, Fortnite has collaborated with several artists to create in-game concerts. The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter, and more have all participated.
