Euphoria season 2 is well underway, and among the other surprises the show has offered these last two weeks, there's another surprise within the upcoming episode's teaser trailer: a brand new Lana Del Rey song.
For hardcore Del Rey fans, the new song's appearance is confirmation of their speculation. Earlier this month, fans deduced that Del Rey had written a song for the HBO teen drama. Now, her song is featured in the preview for the third episode of the season.
The title of the song is still unknown. It's also unclear if the new track will be heard in season two, episode three (airing January 23) or if the song was just used for the trailer. In any case, Del Rey now joins Labrinth in submitting original music to the show. Labrinth has had several songs, including "Still Don’t Know My Name" and the Zendaya collab "All For Us," featured on the series.
Aside from original tracks, several old and contemporary songs have been featured on the show. Most recently, the mix included "Right Down the Line" by Gerry Rafferty, Orville Peck's "Dead of Night," and "Party Up" by DMX. In season one, "You Should See Me In A Crown" by Billie Eilish, "My Body Is A Cage" by Arcade Fire, Lizzo's "Tempo," and "Can't Get Used to Losing You" by Andy Williams were some of the featured songs.
In other Lana Del Rey news, the artist dropped her latest studio album Blue Banisters back in October and recently revealed she hopes to collaborate with Migos, saying she “loves everything” the rap trio make. She was also honored with Variety's Decade Award in December.
New episodes of Euphoria season two are released every Sunday and premiere on HBO and HBO Max.
