Saturday Night Live has found their replacement musical guest for this week's episode after having to drop country singer Morgan Wallen for breaking COVID-19 safety protocols. Now, Jack White will be the musical guest for the Oct. 10 episode.
SNL boss Lorne Michael's announced the news on the Today show, saying, "Calling somebody on a Thursday to be here for Friday, it's complicated. It has to be people who are ready to go. And he's [Jack White] always good on the show."
Wallen was dropped from the episode after TikTok videos of him partying with a large group of people without a mask surfaced. The country singer posted a video to social media acknowledging his behavior, saying, "My actions this past weekend were pretty short-sighted and they have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams. I respect the show’s decision because I know I put them in jeopardy, and I take ownership for this."
Wallen also revealed that during his talk with Michaels, the SNL boss reassured him that they would find another slot for him to be the musical guest in the future.
Saturday Night Live airs tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 10 at 11:30pm ET on NBC. Bill Burr will host tomorrow's episode.
